The Arrest of E. Arutyunyan, July 1979 (53.18)

On 13 July 1979, member of the Armenian Helsinki Group Eduard Arutyunyan [1] was arrested in Yerevan, on the premises of the Armenian Procuracy, to which he had been summoned in connection with one of his statements.

A search was conducted at his home and copies of his letters to various organizations were confiscated.
