NOTES
The Chronicle of Human Rights in the USSR (CHR, CCE 29.1) was published, in English and Russian, from 1972 to 1983, by the Khronika Press in New York (director, Valery Chalidze).
After the typescript had reached the West the Khronika Press also published each new issue of the Chronicle of Current Events in Russian. The contents of CHR and the Chronicle overlap but additional texts were included in CHR.
*
- For some reason, Chronicle 39 (12 March 1976) is not listed in these Contents Pages, although Issue 19 included an Obituary of Grigory Podyapolsky, the leading report in that issue.
