CCE 35 (March)

In the ‘News in Brief’ report from Tallinn CCE 35.10 [2], Peterson was mistakenly included among those arrested.

*

CCE 36 (May)

In the list of political prisoners known to the Chronicle in Vladimir Prison (CCE 36.6-2) No 27 was said to be Tupelman, ‘a Latvian partisan’. This man’s name is not Tupelman but Tumelkans and he is not ‘a Latvian partisan’.

He is imprisoned for serving in the so-called Latvian legion, formed during the German occupation of Latvia. He was arrested in 1972; his sentence is six years under the Article corresponding to Article 64 of the RSFSR Criminal Code. Tumelkans has now been moved from Vladimir Prison to a camp.

CCE 37 (September)

In ‘Events in Lithuania’ (CCE 37.7,), it was stated that on 14 August 1975 ‘M. Vitkunaite was subjected to a search’. The verb should have been in the feminine to correspond with the subject.

*

‘The Trial of Osipov’ (CCE 37.2) should read: the witness A. Ivanov (Skuratov), not (Skurlatov).

*

In the report on the interrogations in the Kovalyov case (CCE 37.4), it was not made clear that not only T. Velikanova and G. Podyapolsky but also Z. Gamsakhurdia, M. Kostava, V. Rtskhiladze (this name was distorted), M. Landa and A. Ginzburg refused to give evidence.
